CFG Bioinformatics Workshop
ANNOUNCEMENT:
We are happy to announce our next RNA-Seq analysis bioinformatics workshop. Here are some crucial information for everyone who is interested:
When & Where: Please contact us if you are interested.
Covered topics: See flyer.
Target audience: Scientists/medical staff with/without coding experience and interested in hands-on experience/understanding RNA-Seq analysis
Preparation:
- Prepare yourself: The workshop is explicitly addressed to everybody who has (almost) no experience in computational biology/medicine! Still, we will cover a lot of topics and therefore have a full timetable on both days. In order to gain as much knowledge as possible from the workshop and to avoid becoming confused by the great amount of details we highly recommend that you get a basic understanding of both languages bash (linux terminal language) and R (statistical scripting language) prior the workshop. Attached you find further information on how an ideal self-preparation can be achieved.
- Organisational matters: You will not need a private computer since we work at computers of the UKM. Anyway you will need an user account of the University of Muenster (i.e. an e-mail address like this: xxxxxx@uni-muenster.de) to use our Jupyterhub environment.
- Registration: Each participant who does not have a Uni Muenster account must register for workshop access and data on the following page: https://mein-ziv.uni-muenster.de/anmeldung/?lang=en.
Participants with a Uni Muenster account must request new group membership for the “e4cfgast” group in the Uni Muenster IT portal: sso.uni-muenster.de/IT-Portal/.
At the end of the registration process, everyone should be a user of the group “e4cfgast”.
Please complete the registration as soon as possible, as the process may take some days. - Institute address: Please send us the address of your institute that should be used in the quote/registration form and invoice!
- Cost center: Please send us your cost center number, which should be used for the payment.
- Login Jupyterhub: You are able to login into Jupyterhub at https://jupyterhub.uni-muenster.de/hub/login with your university account.
Participation is subject to the COVID-19 regulations of the UKM.
We are looking forward to see you and your colleagues.
Please contact core.bioinformatik@uni-muenster.de if you are interested in attending the workshop or have any additional questions.
