At the Institute of Hygiene the German National Consulting Laboratory for Hemolytic Uremic Syndrome (HUS) is located since 2003. The Consulting Laboratory is appointed by the Robert Koch-Institut (RKI). The appointment is done for a three-year period. We offer - besides our consulting service - additional diagnostic services for the detection and characterization of EHEC/STEC.
