Cancer cells are masters of camouflage: They mutate, hide, and thus evade therapies. Researchers at the University of Münster are therefore studying the genetic secrets of tumors. Their goal: to discover how cancer cells develop in the body, defy therapies, and cause relapses.
As an expert in the development of AI solutions to address biomedical questions, Prof. Dominik Heider was invited as a guest lecturer at the renowned University of Hong Kong's Faculty of Medicine as part of the Spring School.
As part of the MalariAI project funded by the BMBF, lectures and workshops took place from February 25th to February 27th, 2025 in various institutions of our cooperation partner, the University of São Paulo in Brazil.

This year's German Conference on Bioinformatics (GCB), which is organized by the Institute for Medical Informatics at the University of Münster (Prof. Dominik Heider), will take place from September 22nd to 24th in Düsseldorf. Details and program will follow shortly at GCB 2025. The GCB is an annual, international conference dedicated to all areas of bioinformatics and intended as a platform for the entire bioinformatics community. Recent meetings attracted a multinational audience of approximately 260 participants. We look forward to seeing you in Düsseldorf!
