First SSR meeting in Europe - and the CeRA was there

Last month, the Society for the Study of Reproduction (SSR) for the first time organized their annual meeting outside US territory. They came to Dublin to hold their meeting with the motto „Evolution of Reproductive Sciences – Where should we go?" The meeting was attended by more than 600 participants with a big proportion of young scientists (>300). Of course being in Europe the audience had also an unusually large proportion of Europeans. CeRA and IRG were well represented through Sara di Persio, Sandra Laurentino and Stefan Schlatt.

The SSR meeting is the most diverse reproductive science meeting with veterinarians and basic scientists presenting all aspects from germline research and pluripotent stem cells up to hormones and animal reproduction in optimzing agricultural applications. The CeRA researchers presented newest findings on epigentics and spermatogonial stem cell physiology.
