Between July 15-26, Juan Manuel Paturlanne visited Prof. Juan Manuel Vaquerizas' lab in the frame of a BMBF ReproTrack.MS funded Short-Term Scientific Mission at the Laboratory of Medical Science, Imperial College, London. Manuel says, "The aim of this visit was to discuss and acquire hand-on practice on sophisticated bioinformatical tools directly from Jahnavi Bhaskaran, postdoc at the Vaquerizas lab, who handles not only the biological interpretation but also the informatic analysis of testicular tissues. Being able to exchange expertise with someone mastering both biological and informatic aspects of single-testicular cell transcriptomic datasets, provided me with the necessary strategies to identify aspects to be improved and to incorporate new tools and QC steps to our own bioinformatic pipeline. As a highlight, I secured Juanma as mentor for the first period of the BMBF-sponsored ReproTrack.MS programme.” We are happy that Manuel had a great time in London and was able to nourish our long lasting colaboration with Juanma Vaquerizas.
