The future of 3D printing in medicine: students explore the UKM's 3D Center
Last Friday, we welcomed a group of students from the Biomedical Engineering course at Münster University of Applied Sciences to the 3D Center. As part of the pilot lecture “Fundamentals of Additive Manufacturing”, they were given exciting insights into the role of 3D printing in clinical research and medical applications. From patient-specific implants to innovative manufacturing technologies - the budding engineers were able to experience first-hand how 3D printing is helping to shape the future of medicine.
The exchange between research, teaching and practice is essential in order to further develop new technologies and integrate them into medical care. We look forward to accompanying the next generation of engineers and researchers on their journey and working together on the innovations of tomorrow!
