From strabismus to cataracts, eye conditions are many and varied. Many can be treated on an outpatient basis, while others require hospitalization.

At the internationally recognized Department of Ophthalmology Münster, we treat eye injuries and diseases, including rare conditions, with and without surgery. Our team of experienced specialists at the Department covers the entire spectrum of ophthalmology and offers state-of-the-art examination techniques and treatment procedures.

As a supra-regional laser and surgical center, our clinic is a leader in the care of patients far beyond the borders of Münsterland. Approximately 7,700 surgeries are performed each year in three major and two outpatient operating rooms.

We offer numerous disease-specific consultations, such as retina, glaucoma and cornea consultations, as well as care for emergency patients.

In addition to caring for our patients, we are deeply involved in medical research and teaching, the training of future physicians.
