Data Protection
Data protection is a current theme in today's world. It was precisely through the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), which came into force in 2018, that the subject was brought back into the public consciousness. Particularly when using medical patient data high data protection requirements apply. The ZBB works in close cooperation with the responsible data protection officer. The ZBB provides the following data protection-relevant information:
- Record of Processing Activities
Each time personal data is processed, a record of processing activity must be created that describes the exact process of data processing. The record of processing activity of the ZBB was coordinated with the responsible data protection officer and is primarily based on the specifications of the technology and method platform for networked medical research (TMF) on the data protection concepts of a biobank. - Privacy Impact Assessment (PIA)
The privacy impact assessment has been required since the GDPR. This was carried out for the ZBB-MFM. After approval of responsible data protection officer, the ZBB thus fulfills all data protection requirements.
