Reproduction.MS travel grant for Pauline Wanjiku Kibui

Pauline W. Kibui's abstract "Tissue clearing and 3D imaging of intact primate testicular tissue: method development" had the highest score of all submitted abstracts for the 16th NYRA meeting in Brussels, Belgium and was awarded a travel grant from Reproduction.MS. Her project involves the successful development of an efficient and low-cost in-house protocol for 3D analysis of the complex testicular architecture in primates. It enables the visualisation of germ and somatic cells in situ with a high level of confidence, particularly in detecting rare events. This is a significant scientific advancement in male (in)fertility with tremendous potential to unravel many aspects of spermatogenesis in any species. This work has been accomplished in collaboration with the Münster Imaging Network, Cells in Motion Interfaculty Centre and the BioOptic Service Unit, Max Planck Institute for Molecular Biomedicine,  Münster.
