I studied a Bachelor and a Master of Science in Kinesiology and Biomechanics at the University of Stuttgart. During my studies, I participated in student exchange programs at Linnaeus University in Sweden and The University of Western Australia. In my master’s thesis (PI – Prof. Tobias Siebert and Dr. Gavin Pinniger), I examined the effects of reactive oxygen species on the passive stiffness of dystrophic skeletal muscle fibres. In November 2023, I joined Prof. Linke’s lab as a PhD student. Under the supervision of Prof. Wolfgang Linke and Dr. Christine Loescher, I will investigate the contribution of titin and other cytoskeletal proteins to active and passive forces of cardiac muscle.
