Curriculum vitae
Studies of  Biology at the Universtiy of Oldenburg in Germany. PhD degree in 2008 at the department of medicine A at the University of Muenster in the area of molecular Hematology and Oncology. The topic of my PhD-thesis was “Small inhibitory RNA molecules as adjuvant therapy in NSCLC” under supervision of Prof. Dr. Carsten Mueller-Tidow. For two more years, I worked in Prof. Dr. Carsten Mueller-Tidow`s laboratory as a postdoctoral research fellow and changed the working place in August 2010 to join Prof. Dr. Albrecht Schwab`s group at the Institut für Physiologie II.
I am interested in functional questions regarding cancer cells and their metastatic potential, with special focus on potassium channels and their possible involvement in the metastatic process.
