Curriculum vitae
I studied biochemistry at the University of Bochum. In my master thesis I investigated the insertion of the Mimivirus-encoded protein VMC1 into the mitochondrial inner membrane. I did my PhD at the University Hospital Münster at the Department of Cardiology. Thereby, my research was centered on understanding the nature of adaptive and maladaptive changes in the heart in response to arrhythmia. Since November 2017, I joined the group of Prof. Linke, where I am investigating the role of titin in muscle contraction
