Curriculum vitae
Based on the interest in cellular and molecular aspects of life, I studied biochemistry in accordance with Goethe's Faust: 'So that I may perceive whatever holds. The world together in its inmost folds.' While later on focussing on medical biochemistry, the clinical application of scientific findings gained centre stage. Thus I chose an oncological diploma thesis and a cardiological topic in my doctoral studies. Currently, I progress my studies in the field of cardiovascular research (focus: heart failure with emphasis on the giant protein titin) at the Institute of Physiology II in Münster.
