In the latest issue of the journal “Die Ophthalmologie”, the lead topic “Women in Ophthalmology” was included under the initiative of PD Dr. med. habil. Viktoria C. Brücher. Various articles on the lead topic are dedicated to the social development within ophthalmology towards an ever-increasing proportion of women in the ophthalmic profession, while the gender distribution in leadership positions and science remains discrepant.
