Die dermale Stressreaktion und Barriereintegrität in Allergien und Autoimmunerkrankungen
Das Projekt befasst sich mit den pro-entzündlichen Alarminen S100A8 and S100A9 in dermalen Entzündungen. Wir haben gezeigt, dass sich die kurzzeitigen, entzündlichen wesentlich von den langfristigen regulatorischen Effekten dieser Proteine unterscheiden. Mittels gezielter Genmanipulation in immortalisierten myeloischen Stammzellen werden wir nun die molekularen Mechanismen und Signalwege untersuchen, die zur Reprogrammierung regulatorischer Monozyten und dendritischer Zellen notwendig sind. Die Relevanz dieser regulatorischen Mechanismen werden wir in dermalen Entzündungen in vivo bestätigen.
